LARGE PRINT BIBLES AND HYMNALS are available upon request from the ushers.
September 12 is a big day! It is Rally Sunday—time to begin our Sunday School year! Sunday School starts at 9:00 am and we have classes for all ages! If you’d like more information about our classes, contact Cindy Sandkamp at 455-7854 or jjcjs@comcast.net.
We also resume our fall schedule on September 12 with worship beginning at 10:00 am instead of 9:30 am.
Christians Coping With Cancer
If you life has been affected by cancer, please feel free to join this powerful support group. They meet next on Thursday, September 9 at 7:00 here at the church.
Concert of Prayer
Pastor Judy McEachran will lead a Concert of Prayer on Monday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 pm. She will present some of her newest songs as well as familiar hymns. You will hear Scriptures that speak directly to your soul. This will be a time to just “sit and soak” in the presence of God. Carve out time from your busy life to enjoy the “rest” that comes from God’s presence. Invite a friend to join you.
Feed My Starving Children
There are still openings to volunteer for Feed My Starving Children this month. We will be packing meals at the Eagan location on Wednesday, September 22 from 9:30 – 11:30 am. We’ll meet at 9:00 am to carpool. Sign up now on the sheet outside the church office.
The 2nd Annual Mt. Bethel Craft Boutique has been scheduled for Saturday, October 30 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. If you’d like to sell your crafts, pick up a form from Judy Alich or Joann Larson. If you want to shop (who doesn’t?) be here Oct 30!
Volunteers Needed! We need help both with filling the empty spaces on the Refreshment sign-up sheet as well as the Greeter sign up- sheet. Both are located outside the church office on the bulletin board. We’d love to see you name on one or both! Refreshment volunteers prepare or purchase and serve a “treat.” Coffee (prepared by you) and juice are provided by the church. Greeters simply arrive about 20-30 minutes prior to the worship service and greet everyone as they arrive for service! Check your calendars and sign up where you can help! Thanks!
Great Neighbors’ Mississippi River Duck Races
The Great Neighbors River Duck Races is a fundraising event for our local food shelf, Neighbors, Inc. The event is on Sept. 18th from 11 am to 3 pm at Kaposia Landing in So. St. Paul, and there will be duck races throughout the whole vent this year. There also will be carnival games, blow-ups, great food, a raffle with great prizes and the Duck Races. You can adopt your ducks now by either visiting our office, going to Neighbors’ website (wwwl.neighborsmn.org), or visiting Neighbors directly. Ducks are adopted for $5 each or $25 for a Family Fun Pack. There is no limit to the number of ducks you can adopt. The grand prizes this year for the final race are:
1st Place: a 50 cc Scooter
2nd Place: a 40” flat screen TV
3rd Place: a drive-in movie in your backyard for a night
Last Place (for the lazy duck): $100.
There will also be great prizes for the winners of all of the races through the day.

Mt. Bethel will be collecting paper products for the Emma Norton Residence during the month of August. Items needed are: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, napkins, journals/diaries, notebooks and monthly wall calendars. Thank you for your support of our mission projects!
Minutes from the monthly Administrative Board minutes and monthly treasury reports are available for you to read and keep up with business end of Mt. Bethel. They are posted on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.
REQUEST FROM THE CHURCH OFFICE: When you are planning events that involve the church or church members, please notify Pam in the office so they get on the church calendar! It’ll help from “double booking” our building or members!
