PASTORAL STAFF ADDED
Rev. Judy McEachran, pastor at Heritage United Methodist Church in New Prague, is joining the pastoral staff of Mt. Bethel. She will be spending 10-12 hours each week in developing prayer and evangelism. Mt. Bethel has chosen to expand church ministries of prayer and faith, sharing as new efforts of intentional spiritual growth and reaching the unchurched. The initial process has already begun with church leadership in an eight weeks intensive study called UNBINDING THE GOSPEL. The first meeting was last Tuesday night.
EASTER, APRIL 4, 10 a.m.
Mt. Bethel is preparing for a BIG DAY on EASTER, April 4, at 10 a.m. You will be receiving an INVEST and INVITE card today. Please listen for the special announcement where you will be asked to think of three people that you can invest in prayer and invite to EASTER service on April 4, at 10 a.m. 60%-80% of first time guests come to church because someone asked them (Ignite, Nelson Searcy, pg 86). Who can you begin to pray for and invite to come with you to church on EASTER Sunday? Think of the unchurched first.
Today there are INVITATION postcards available for you to hand out to your family, friends, people at work, or your neighbors to come for EASTER. Many people don't attend church regularly. In fact less than 20% of our nation will be in church on any given weekend (Church Research Study). More than any other time of the year EASTER is a time they will come to church. People who are in transition, in trouble, or a life change (such as a marriage, or new job, or new baby) are more open to coming to church so go ahead and make the invitation to come for EASTER. Be praying for those you will invite. Be praying for the EASTER service that people who are unchurched will find Christ's love in reality.
CONCERT OF PRAYER, April 12, Monday night, 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Pastor Judy McEachran will lead a Concert of Prayer on April 12 , Monday night at 7 p.m. She will present some of her newest songs as well as familiar hymns. You will hear Scriptures that speak directly to your soul. This will be a time just to "sit and soak" in the presence of God. Carve out time from your busy life to enjoy the "rest" that comes from God's presence.
We need more volunteers to to prepare/serve refreshments on Sunday mornings after worship. Please add your name to the sign up sheet which is on the bulletin board outside the church office.
Minutes from the monthly Administrative Board minutes and monthly treasury reports are available for you to read and keep up with business end of Mt. Bethel. They are posted on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.
Please check the Greeters Schedule signup sheet located on the bulletin board outside the church office to see if you can help with this in the upcoming months. You’re not available every Sunday in a month? No problem—share the month with a friend!
