Monday Evening Bible Study
In this new year many of us may have on our mind, "sure wish I could be a better money manager", "wish I could give more to...... but my bank account says..." Some of us may be drowning in debt, others ignoring the opportunity of estate planning. Some want to be cheerful givers but want and do are not cooperating actions. We know and believe God wants to bless us with goodness and God does. It just seems that much of the time we easily become distracted in being a wise manager of God's treasures. We know and believe God wants to bless us with goodness and God does. It just seems that much of the time we easily become distracted in being a wise manager of God's treasures.
Jesus knew that only heavenly treasures can satisfy. That's why He warned people not to collect treasures on earth but to discover the joy of collecting treasures in Heaven. His teachings show that you can't take it with you, but you can send it on ahead.
In the Treasure Principle small group bible study you will acknowledge God's ownership of all things while accepting your role as His money manager. Six biblical keys will guide you to use your money and possessions to make deposits in heaven. As you get a glimpse of the life-changing joy of giving, you will discover the hidden treasure that awaits those who invest in eternity. And you'll know why you could never be content with less.
The Treasure Principle Unlocking the secret of joyful giving is a 6 week Bible study by Randy Alcorn facilitated by Pastor Judy McEachran on Monday evenings Jan 16, 30, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27 at 6:30pm. Sign up by emailing mtbethel2@msn.com or calling the church office 651-451-3636 or sign-up sheet in church narthex. Cost is $6 that covers the cost of materials.
Celebrating God's Love for 50 Years!
On Sunday, November 6 we gathered together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mount Bethel! Former pastors have attended as well as many persons that have previously been a part of Mt. Bethel. We celebrated in worship followed by a banquet and program. It was a very memorable day!
Feed My Starving Children
We are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 21, April 18 & May 16. Eadch session is held at the Eagan location off Lone Oak Road and runs from 9:30 - 11:30 am. If you'd like to join our group packing food for children around the world, please either call the church office at 651-451-3636, or add your name to the sign up sheet outside the church office.
Retiree Breakfast
The retirees of Mt. Bethel meet every other Thursday morning at 8:00 am for breafast and fellowship. They meet at the Cahill Diner which is located at 65th & Cahill Ave. in Inver Grove Heights. Following breakfast, this group heads back to the church and does the weekly cleaning!
